Madrid - Day 1 pictures 2

After dinner we went to two different downtown plazas - the first one is the equivalent of out Times Square - it is here where they gather at New Years to count down to midnight. And they bring 12 grapes and eat them at each strike of 12 on the clock posted to start their year off right. The last picture is Plaza Mejor? - not quote me on the spelling - but the major plaza where they first started bull fighting....but it's a square - so the audience didn't like it when the bulls would go into the corners.....so they made the circular bull fighting rings of today.

Today - Day 2 - touring of the Palace and some other areas of Madrid and group lunch, shopping and then Flamenco - then tapas dinner and then who knows what else.......

Thanks for the photos. I like the bull story and the new year's eve tradition. Does El Prado do video conferencing? Tell them Ardsley is ready. Regards to Henry and all the students. Hasta la vista!
