We arrived one hour late into Munich and landed just as the connecting flight to Madrid was boarding. We went through passport control and security again and amazingly MADE the flight.
Lufthansa is a great airline - their food was great and the plane had individual TVs at the seats and was spacious.
We arrived in Madrid to find that my and Mike Cornells luggage did not make it :(
BUT they said it would arrive on the next flight from Munich and be delivered to our hotel by 7pm....and it was.
We went to the Prado museum from 6-8pm - went to dinner at a cute Spanish restaurant .... then took a mini walking tour.
Internet access was sketchy - sorry the blog was later than expected. Will post pictures tomorrow and have students blog tomorrow.

So sorry to hear about the luggage debacle but it could have been worse. I have been thinking about you all and wishing you nothing but the best on this awesome trip. Can't wait to hear more!!!
